Contest Topic: OMG! H2O! Why Water is Important to Me
This contest is sponsored by Texas Water Utilities Association to introduce students to the water environment and processes involved in supplying a modern community with safe water and wastewater treatment.

First Place: $200.00 (check)
Second Place: $100.00 (check)
Third Place: $50.00 (check)
All 1st, 2nd and 3rd place poster/essay winners will be displayed at the Texas Water Utilities Association "Annual School" March 1-4, 2015 at the American Bank Convention Center, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
*The contest is open to 4th-6th grade students.
*They could submit a poster, an essay or both.
*Poster entries had to be in portrait (11" x17") and suitable for matting.
*Essay entries should be at least 100 words, but not more than 200 words in length.
*Teachers may submit only the top 3 poster entries and the top 3 essay entries from each class.
Judging Criteria: The Public Education Committee based their judging on the following criteria:
Originality, knowledge of topic, research and study, exemplified neatness and skill of execution.
We submitted 9 essays and 5 posters.
