For the past week, we have been learning about different types of angle shots and what type of shots we should use for each scene or picture. After learning about this, we put our skills to the test and took out a camera and recorded different shots that showed what we have just learned.
Working with my partner Kevion, i was able to record him at different angles and also use him to practice my video recording skills. The reason learning about camera composition is important is because it helps u record/take better videos/pictures and helps you get a better capture of the scene. Different camera shots and camera angles can change the meaning of the story for the audience by showing the feel of the scene such as if there was a sad scene, then by using the correct camera shots and angles, the audience can see how the feel of the scene is sad. Also using different camera shots and angles can make the scene seem less/more important or less/more dramatic.
While recording, Mr. Perez was "creeping" on us and taking pictures of what we were doing. This is a picture that was taken behind the shoulder and it was of me messing with the camera and recording Kevion.
While taking a break, Mr. Perez got another teacher to "creep" on us. This is a picture of me doing a pan shot recording at another group and moving over to Kevion.
After doing the project, I had a lot of fun being able to stay outside and I also learned how to record videos better and learn to use different type of camera shots and angles instead of using the zoom in and zoom out button. I also gained the skill to work with cameras and know how to properly adjust them and use them.
