Th main focus of the garza's gardens to connect urban agriculture to not only horticulture, but also to sustainability, the food system and nutrition.  We study organic and sustainable agricultural practices, the use of food in our everyday diet and the place of graza's gardens in Austin's food system.  All of this so that students connect what they are doing to the food security of not only their families, but also their neighborhood, city, state and country.
