Recycling amounts

In 2011 students collected 30 tons of paper, 1,000 pounds of aluminum cans and over 60,000 plastic bottles for recycling.  At the start of the 2011/2012 school year we have already collected over 6 tons of paper and cardboard (mostly from teachers unpacking their moving cartons), 10 pounds of aluminum cans and 200 plastic bottles in the first two weeks of school.  By the end of this school year (MAY 2012) we colelcted 32 tons of paper/cardboard, 420 pounds of aluminum cans and over 50,000 plastic bottles.
