Solar Cooking

75 ecology students from Eisenhower High School along with 18 FACS students completed a joint curricula on solar cooking.  Each student made a pizza box oven and/or a Pringle's Can cooker.  Students teams also constructed large box ovens to cook casserols.

Solar Cooking Day was recently complete with students cooking indiviual pizzas, s'mores and cookies.  Students also shared with one another information they gained from their research of solar cooking as an alternative to using fuel wood or fossil fuels.
