Energy and Environment Week Announcements

The folloing announcements were read last year over the PA for enevery and environment week.  We will research more facts and create 5 new announcements for Energy and Environment week 2012.

• Each hour, enough solar energy is made to meet the world’s needs for an entire year.
• 80% of the world’s forests are gone. 40% of our water ways are undrinkable.
• 200,000 people are moving to cities from environments that no longer support them.
• For everyone garbage can you put out at the curb, 70 cans were filled by all the processes.
• United States Industry admits to four billion pounds of toxic pollution released per year (likely for more)
