Our Educational Assembly ...

The student council hosted an assembly about the benefits of giving blood.  Our local blood center recruiter came to speak to the group. 

Reasons to give blood, ways to keep your iron up and what giving blood does for you and others were addressed.

 Students were able  to sign up to give at the assembly. 

The blood drive was a great success!  So many students were able to give!  The educational assembly really helped the students understand about why giving blood is such an important thing to do.

Other things you might do to help get more sign ups: 

Those who give, have their name put in a drawing. 

Have all students who give get together for a picture to submit to the local paper. 

Have a student in your group write an article about why they give and how easy it is to be published in your school paper.
