Schuylerville Elementary Health Fair

In October, students at Schuylerville Elementary attended the first-ever health fair organized by Parents as Education Partners (PEP).

Following the theme of the boardgame "Operation", students visited more than 20 exhibits and workshops hosted by community agencies that encouraged healthy living. Each exhibit table corresponded with a part of the body on the Operation body "map", and everyone was encouraged to track their visits to each stop using stickers on their map guide.

Presentions included sports injury protection, healthy eating, protecting hearing, environmental education and outdoor opportunities, emergency procedures and equipment, allergy awareness, and MANY more. The fair was a big success, especially as a first-time event, and we hope to do it again next year.
