Mint Tasting Party

Every time we water our mint cans, the fresh, clean aroma of mint teases our senses. Luckily, our mint has grown enough since last April, so that we can cut leaves off for a "MINT TASTING PARTY !!!". Information about the following health benefits of mint leaves was shared.
Mint helps with:

*Nausea and Headaches
*Respiratory Disorders and Coughs
*Asthma
*Depression and Fatigue
*Skin Care and Pimples
*Memory Loss
*Allergies and Hay Fever
*Weight Loss

Students brainstormed all the foods and drinks that contain the mint flavor. Then it was time to try the mint. Students checked out each can of mint and had to decide which flavor of mint they would like to try. Here are the choices they had to choose from:
Grapefruit Mint Mint Candy
Peppermint Spearmint
Pineapple Mint
After deciding which mint flavor they wanted to try, they cut off one leaf, washed it and ate it.
Some students enjoyed it, and others not so much.
We want to add other mint flavors to our mint garden like chocolate, apple, lemon
and orange. HMMMM, MINT!
