II What we did
As a part of the school’s commitment to reduce its carbon footprint, the green coach coordinated the execution of Cool The Earth Campaign, which is a free, ready-to-run program that educates K-8 students and their families about climate change and inspires them to take simple actions to reduce their carbon emissions. Three parents supported the Campaign as volunteer participants.
Throughout 6 weeks students from 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade committed to do an action at home to reduce global warming; actions consisted in making choices to change habits. The main goal of the campaign was to promote sustainable lifestyle in the school community.
