CONTESTS:
That's three awards without needing to do three times the projects! And as Terry Hamm (Executive Director of TASC) put it "It's been my experience the most successful StuCos begin with a goal and a plan to accomplish that goal."
Here is what you will need to make it SUPER EASY:
- TASC Greenprint Packet.pdf (click here) - includes suggested projects that satisfy both Outstanding StuCo and GRS requirements, and step-by-step instructions on how to complete everything.
- Green Ribbon Schools website: www.greenribbonschools.org
Easy as that! All you have to do is:
- Put together a plan - Use the TASC Greenprint Packet (Download pdf), that aligns the project requirements for Outstanding StuCo with the requirements of Green Ribbon Schools, to put your Greenprint together. A Greenprint is an easy way to plan all the projects you are doing this year.
- Publish a Greenprint - Using the format and directions provided in the TASC Greenprint packet, publish your Greenprint on the Green Ribbon Schools website (that alone counts as a Leadership project). If your Greenprint is published by Nov 1 you will get the "Forward Thinker" award and a chance for other cool prizes.
- Complete your planned projects - Throughout the year you will complete the projects in your Greenprint in the real world (taking pictures and videos). You will then publish presentation pages on the GRS website showing off the results of your projects, and be able to use those published pages for easy reporting for the Outstanding StuCo award.
Got questions? Email us anytime at grscontact@4empowerment.com and let us know you are a TASC StuCo working on your Greenprint. We are always here to help. No question is too small.
